A sky-lit multi-purpose space within the museum needed to have exhibition added to its roster of functions.  Our proposal included leaving the space completely in-tact, and adding two rotating walls, with absolutely minimal footprint.  The two lightweight walls, built using aluminum aircraft wing technology, would rotate out of the way, leaving the space as it was found.  Once open, the walls provided 1200SF of new exhibition space, using the skylight as the source of illumination.
Scope:  Design and Construction Documents complete. Not built.
Site:  2500 SF interior space in the museum.
